The graph paper drawings began in 2005 as preparatory works, serving as a way to explore compositional elements on a small scale before delving into larger works. Over time they have become a body of work unto themselves.

Jason Haam is pleased to participate in Seattle Art Fair 2019 (Booth A-07) with a solo presentation of graph paper drawings by Washington D.C.-based artist, Linn Meyers.
Exhibiting a sense of intricacy and movement present in Meyers’ intuitive yet methodical approach to the act of mark-making, the graph paper drawings reflect the process that defines the artist’s relationship to time. As the geometric organization of the graph paper provides a structural composition for the drawings, Meyers demonstrates a personal, visual language of gestural form through the repetitive sequence of mark-making.
Born in 1968, Meyers has shown internationally for more than twenty years, having had solo exhibitions at institutions, such as the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C., the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, CA, and the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C. Her works are included in the public collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C. and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., and more.
