Jason Haam is pleased to share that Peter Buggenhout’s solo exhibition ‘Second Sight’ at Kunstmuseum Den Haag is currently on view through November 24th, 2024.
Referring to nothing else but themselves, Buggenhout’s sculptural creations are made of materials atypical of art, seeing the aesthetics of rubble and waste as an antithesis to the ideologies and utopias that give us the false hope of endlessly available resources and limitless growth. ‘Second Sight’ offers the viewers a taste of the footprint left by our industrial present. His art is both a rejection of the optimism of progress and an ode to human creativity.
