jason haam: five years, part two

I soon realized after opening the gallery that building a monumental enterprise is an incredibly difficult thing and it is only possible when and if many people give their hearts for its prosperity. I am grateful for everyone who has helped us to be where we are today and look to the future with much hope and excitement to accomplish more with our friends and colleagues. Thank you.

갤러리 오픈 후, 기념비적인 회사를 만든다는 것은 실로 어려운 일임을 깨닫게 되었고 회사의 번창을 위해서는 많은 분들이 진심으로 마음을 써주셔야 한다는 것을 알게 되었다. 우리가 여기까지 올 수 있게 도움주신 모든 분에게 진심으로 감사의 말씀을 전하며, 친구들, 동료들과 함께 만들어 나갈 더 희망차고 성취적인 갤러리의 미래를 꿈꾼다.

In celebration of the gallery’s fifth anniversary, Jason Haam is pleased to present a special two- part exhibition with the artists who have shaped and developed the identity of the gallery since its establishment.

The second part of the exhibition, ‘jason haam: five years, part two,’ features works by Peter Buggenhout, Marie Cloquet, Urs Fischer, Jonathan Gardner, Sarah Lucas, Charles Ritchie, and Mircea Suciu all of whom have had a solo presentation at the gallery. Nick Goss and Max Hooper Schneider are acclaimed young artists who has recently started to engage with the programme and will showcase their works in the exhibition.

Five years ago, in 2018, Jason Haam opened his eponymous gallery with the wildest dream to ‘build the best gallery in the generation’. Since then, the gallery has made some progress in its mission to cultivate and propagate the most impactful voices in the contemporary art scene. Looking ahead, with clearer objectives and much dedication, we are excited to enter into a new phase of the gallery and reaffirm our novel pursuit for the purest and the most inspiring form of visual arts.

제이슨함은 갤러리 개관 5주년을 맞아 창립 이후 갤러리의 정체성을 형성하고 발전시킨 작가들과 함께 지난 5년의 발자취를 기념하는 전시를 1부와 2부에 걸쳐 선보인다.

2부 전시에서는 앞서 제이슨함에서 개인전을 개최한 바 있는 Peter Buggenhout, Marie Cloquet, Urs Fischer, Jonathan Gardner, Sarah Lucas, Charles Ritchie, Mircea Suciu의 작품이 전시된다. 또한 최근 미술계에서 주목 받는 젊은 작가인 Nick Goss와 Max Hooper Schneider와 같은 새로이 갤러리 프로그램과 함께하는 작가들의 작품이 소개된다.

5년 전인 2018년, 제이슨함은 그의 이름을 내걸고 동시대 최고의 갤러리를 만들겠다는 꿈을 가지고 갤러리를 열었다. 그 이후 갤러리는 현대미술계에서 가장 영향력 있는 목소리를 전파하고 구축하고자 하는 진전을 이루었다.
